Glucosamine Sulfate, Rosehip Extract
Relief of symptoms in mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee
Each film coated tablet contains: Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride 750 mg, Rosehip Extract (4:1) 400 mg
Osteoarthritis, a degenerative joint disease, involves chronic progressive degeneration of the cartilage, which leads to different grades of softening, brittleness, degradation, erosion and ultimately denudation leading to rough incongruous articular surfaces of the joint faces.
Glucosamine Sulfate: Glucosamine acts as a fundamental building block for the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycan, hyaluronate and proteoglycans, which are important for collagen synthesis, degradation of which leads to the disease termed as osteoarthritis (OA). Moreover glucosamine sulfate exhibits anti-inflammatory and chondroprotective actions and thus has been shown to alleviate pain and even restore or stimulate articular cartilage formation in patient with damaged cartilages in joint affected with OA.
Rosehip Extract: Rosehip extract contains significant amounts of vitamin C and many other minerals and vitamins such as beta carotene, bioflavonoids, calcium, citrates, citric acid, iron malate, malic acid niacin, phosphorus and vitamin A, B1,B2, E, K and D. the active ingredients present in rosehip help in reducing joint pain, inflammation and stiffness of the joints. They can play an important role in joint care and provide relief from joint pain.
One to two tablets daily, with or without food.
If you are allergic to shellfish, you should consult your physician before using glucosamine products.
Gastrointestinal discomfort, drowsiness, headache, insomnia, and mild temporary digestive complaints such as abdominal pain, poor appetite, nausea, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, and vomiting.
Do not use if you have ever had a rash or other allergic reaction to ingredients. Safety and effectiveness have not been established in children who should therefore avoid using glucosamine. The administration in patients with severe hepatic or renal insufficiency should be made under medical supervision.
Possible interaction between Glucosamine and oral anticoagulants.
